i believe that civil unions should be allowed.
i watched a recent documentary on women living in polygamy. it consisted of interviews with these women, one made the statement that soon they would be able to be considered legitimate as soon as gays were allowed marriage, that it would open the door for their relationships to have legal status. it is indeed a slippery slope when the minority feels that the majority should be made to accept their alternate live style as 'normal'. she further stated that is was no one business as long as consenting adults agreed to the 'marriage' that was all that was required and that the so called normals were violating their civil rights in denying them these sanctions.
if one chooses an alternative life style that is their business but when they as a minority ask society to sanction it,then it is our business. IMO

because of the fact, Time has surpassed. That act by myself is elementary in how we come across different individuals, circumstances, and circumstances. If I have been to assert (sure it is off subject count) could you like this glass of milk? you may say sure....then you definitely bypass to take the glass of milk and purely then do you already know that this glass of milk is gross and eco-friendly. you may now no longer elect the milk. yet good day in the previous hand you probably did DIDNTT YOU!?!? cuz after all you have a collection thought of what milk is, how scrumptious this is...yet this milk is diverse for that reason you act in any different case in direction of it via thanking the guy and pouring it down the sink. although that analogy may well be off relation the thought is a similar. all of us have set of ways gays, blacks, jews, hispanics how EVEYROEN might desire to be. however the fact of hte count is all and sundry is diverse some are immoral and filthy in simple terms as some immediately white adult adult males are. we are all unique. over the years we strengthen, and we discover ways to bypass those "set values of ways persons are" on, in simple terms as our father and mom (those adult adult males calling blacks immoral interior the 50's) surpassed those self same VALUES ONTO US. although....we are actually not those adult adult males interior the 50's are we? no. immediately we are ourselves, we be able to make our very own selections, no longer the suggestions that our father and mom and grandparents made. because of the fact after all the international is diverse now.....hahaha.....we are able to work out that the milk is gross and eco-friendly while they might no longer. So the question isn't notwithstanding if or no longer they're a similar gay rights and black rights....for this is misguided to assert they are while time has elapsed yet greater importantly what can we do NOW with the suggestions that are concentrated in front human beings immediately... so as that possibly. in simple terms perchance our destiny would be diverse than the destiny our grandparents from the Nineteen Fifties gave us. Be open minded and probably issues will exchange for the greater suitable :)

the only reason gay couples cannot marry in some places is bias/bigotry/prejudice - pick you word.
Fact is if any government puprots to support equality for all then that government has to allow all couples to marry. That. or they need to get out of the marriage business and just do civil unions and leave marriage to religion.

Marriage is state sanctioned procreation.
I would leave those decisions to the citizens of each state. Involving the Federal Government is always a mistake. Look at what it has done for abortion.

Homosexuality is an aberration. It ain't normal. Marriage has always been a union between a man and a woman. Gays who want marriage are trying to get acceptance for that which is not normal. You cannot get legitimate by having a ceremony.

The only 'strong' argument someone can give will be religious.
People can take away the religious cereonmy but it's just plain crazy to take their legal benefits.

There is only one culture in the history of the world that believed that being gay was normal -- American Indians. All other cultures worldwide consider this behavior as a deviant action.

Liberty and justice for ALL!
Even if god hates homosexuals? yep, he does. Says so somewhere in the bible. Hates "witches" too.
Down with Harry Potter!
