i mean, why the hell does he want dogs to fight? does he think he doesnt have enough money, or just hates dogs???? i mean why would you drown them just because they refuse to fight???? he should really be put in jail. just cuz hes famous doesnt mean he gets to do whatever he wants.

my younger sister and her husband live in the 'burbs of Atlanta

he is notorious there for obtaining an STD, giving to some unfortunate girlfriend, and then going to get treatment for it under a fake name at A COUNTY HOSPITAL CLIINIC!....

so in short he is an idiot with no morals....

once you can deal with that, then try and understand that he is ghetto

he is also poorly educated

were he not an athlete, he would probably be in a more desperate situation

some people who are ghetto have bad friends, lots of useless "hangers on" who make up a pitiful kind of entourage or friends

from my family's understanding of him, he allowed friends of this kind, with an equally idiotic mentality, to have "dog fights"

these are not just done for money but for the kind of underground status and cache they lend

this would allow his idiot friends to make money and do something cool and underground too

these kinds of people don't HATE dogs but do not respect the animals as companions, nor their lives

they simply think of the dog as something to do their will

it is tough and macho to have "tough" dogs, like pit bulls and Rottweilers...idiots like this never respect the breeds' other qualities

yes I agree he should be in jail, along with all his other idiot cronies, but they are all ignorant beyond belief and this sort of crime will not keep them in jail forever

when they get out they will pursue equally stupid things

what is needed is punishment but also an education on the lives of dogs and how to respect them, as well as how to manage money and real estate, and how to get and keep good decent friends, and general education that will expand minds and lead to paradigm shifts

they need to learn to lead positive lives

this training should come from home and be reinforced in schools and churches, but Mr. Vick's background and that of his "friends" are such that all of that was lacking

Amen. I hope he gets suspended. And love that he will never get another endorsement deal. And I also hope that he has some major community services as well as has to give back to some sort of charity helping animals along with his jail time. Seriously, these ball players need to realize, $$$$ doesn't give you the right to act like a punk and break the law. If nothing else they should realize that its their responsibility to follow the straight and narrow...people look up to them, they should live to be a good example.
