Honestly now that it has been almost 2 weeks since the original collapse hope is getting slim that they are still alive. I think that it is good that the underground efforts have been stopped because it is so dangerous, and we've seen what can happen underground. I don't think that the 3 lives lost in the secondary collapse were wasted at all, they were hero's trying to save fellow co-workers who would have done the same for them.

I honestly don't believe the miners are alive either... it's going on two weeks, starting Monday. But I think no matter what, their bodies still have to be recovered. They can't just leave them in there. The story is extremely sad. My prayers go out to everyone affected.

As sad as this response might be, I really think those 6 miners died the day the collapse happened. And to see rescuers die in the attempt to save 6 miners,[who I think are dead] is not worth it. Enough is enough.

NO! THEY ARE STILL ALIVE! HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! In all honesty, I think they have passed on. If they were lucky, they died in the initial collapse and didn't suffer long.
