if there is a little stub of it protruding out of the keyhole...needle nose pliers may work...If not...remove the lock from the door, spray keyhole with graphite lube, WD-40 Blaster or something like that...then smack the backside of the lock lightly with a hammer...the key may fall out...if not...get a new lock...you already removed the old one..

Try a pin or thin needle.
Do not pus the pin in beside the broken key, just try to pry (pick) it out. This may take some time. Sit on a chair while doing it.
I have used this method on residential, commercial and industrial locks on numerous occasions where some is stronger than they realize and twist the key off.
Alternatetely, you may have to take the lock apart. There is usually a space at the oposite end where the key inserts; push the pin in and the broken key out. Not all locks are easy to disamble while locked.
Good Luck

Coule of different ways to go about it. Here at work when it happens I usually just take a small paperclip with a little bend in it. Then insert into keyway and try to pull it out slowly. Also depends on the lock was it always easy to get the key in and out. If so that will help. Also sometime I just use my lockpicks but not everybody has those. Something small and serrated stick it in towards the top of the lock and try to pull the broken part out... if your handy you can take the lock apart and sometimes puch it out from the back also

Try this.
Clean the exposed portion of the broken key by taking a q-tip and alchohol and wiping it as best you can.
Straighten out a paper clip and put a small drop of super glue on the end of it.
Hold the paper clip to the broken key and keep it still for at least a minute.
Remove key.

in case you connect 2 wires from a automobile battery and touch one to the broken key then immediately touch the different to the comparable spot it is going to weld the twine and broken key at the same time and you may pull out the substantial. yet differently is to place a small drop of super glue on the tip of a twine and glue the substantial to it then pull the broken key out. yet differently is to eliminate the lock that's quite undemanding and examine out to shake the substantial out. If that would not artwork then pass to homestead Depot and purchase a clean lock for $10 money particularly of paying the lock smith $a hundred and fifty to do the comparable element. i'm guess there a super style of video clips on YouTube on the thank you to alter a lock.

try harder to take it out. What will you do next? Any spare one handy?
Some locks let you push a wire from other side to remove broken key.
Last resort?
Call a lock smith from yellow pages.
