I had a miscarriage on June 27th but it was a blighted ovum pregnancy (thought I was at 12 weeks but ended up only being a sac of 5 weeks). I have not have a normal period since (although I thought I was getting it about a month or so ago, had some spotting in the morning, then nothing). Did a test last week and got a negative result. I decided to do another test yesterday afternoon (faint positive) and again first thing this morning and had a little darker faint positive. Do you think this could be still hcg levels left over or another pregnancy? I am going for a blood test next week to confirm. If I am pregnant how will they know how far along if there has been no period?

If you are pregnant they can do an ultrasound that can estimate the gestational age of the baby. They do it all the time for people who are unsure of their dates, often will great accuracy. Usually by 6 weeks after a miscarriage hcg levels are back to prepregnant levels, so you are probably right that you are pregnant.

I too suffered a miscarriage, so I sympathize. I am sorry to your loss. Remember that women are typically VERY fertile after having a miscarriage, which is probably going what helped you to conceive again so speedily. I do know that you are feeling some anxiousness about the 2d being pregnant after dropping the earlier one, however i encourage you to get to a physician ASAP. That is the only approach you could real discover how a ways along you are and be certain the little one is healthful. As for telling folks, there's nothing unsuitable with ready if you do not suppose like sharing the information simply yet. I had a miscarriage three years after my husband and that i had our first child. After we decided to offer it a go again a couple of years later, we waited unless I was safely in my 2d trimester before we told any person. Just right success, and i wish both you and your child a healthy, pleased being pregnant.

They will have to do an ultra sound to determine your due date. I had my 3rd miscarriage in Jan 04, and got pregnant with my son the next month.
