The Lake Issabella Dam is rated the unsafest in the country yet the riverbeds in Bakersfield are bone dry. Why not trickle more water down, thus easing the pressure on the Dam and making Bakersfield and it's Parks a more inviting place. I have lived her 5 yrs and only one summer was there water in the river all summer. I have heard them say that we would have water in the river from now on more than once only to see them dry once again.

This is a drought year. Lake Success in Porterville is only a tiny puddle this year. Lower than I have ever seen it since 1975. The water in Lake Isabella is used for irrigation and such so they can't let too much water out or the farmers wouldn't have enough to grow crops.

And as a side note, my step-father helped build the dam that made Lake Success. My natural father helped build the Hoover Dam.

Letting water out of Lake Isabella to make Bakersfield "more inviting" is absurd. NOTHING could ever make such a hell-hole more inviting.
