I have a 98 Dodge Ram with the extended cab, my hubby was putting the sprinklers on it while his car was safe and sound in the garage, and now I have hard water stains on the windows and the body, but I am more concerned with removing it safely off the windows since it is getting hard to see out the wondows, especially at night. I made him hlep me make a spot where I can put my truck so it will no longer get the spots, but after washing it and trying to clean the windows I realize that I need some sound advice to get it back to crisp clean shape.

We use toothpaste, or in severe situations, very lite grade steel wool, soap and water. If you are adventerous, go to your local glass shop and purchase some glass polishing compound.

A white toothpaste will do wonders. I use it on a rag, and wash the windows. It doesn't scratch them and will cut through all the film and junk that is on them. We have hard water at the house, so it is common to have the calcium spots on the glass and the body too.

A good wax job on the vehicle should remove those spots. While you are waxing include the windows.
