I wave to everyone on a bike...regardless of what they are on. Yes there are some people that won't wave but what ya gonna do? Just wave and be happy. Sometimes though a wave is better off not done if safety is an issue. At times like those I look right at the other rider and nod my head. Rarely does another rider ignore a nod.

There really are no rules. I ride a Harley and wave to all riders regardless of what they ride. I hold my arm out and slightly down to the side and give a two finger wave. I usually get a wave or nod back. When I don't get a wave or nod back it's usually from a crotch rocket rider. I feel sorry for people like that who snub other riders because of what they ride or what they wear. I can understand not responding with a wave in certain traffic conditions when you have no free hand and your concentration is on the vehicles right around you, but when those conditions aren't present, it's just rude. Thankfully I don't run into this type too often. I still wave to all crotch rocket riders. I won't let a few bad apples change my waving.

I'll wave to any bike on the road, & I'm on an 07 Harley Low Rider. Waves are often returned no matter what make of bike I am waving at. Perhaps those who do not wave are pre-occupied with riding their bike. It is hard to wave when you are busy shifting gears, preparing for a stop sign etc. Often my wave is not returned on a long streach of road and I assume the rider is tired of flapping his or her hand at every bike that passes by. I don't really care one way or another, I wave any way. It's a good thing. Just be careful not to crash when only one hand is on the bar.

The ones that don't wave? Those would be Harley riders. I ride a Harley and they don't wave at me. Probably because I wear a helmet and they don't take time to look at the bike. Just wave anyway you want. If I see you I'll wave no matter what you ride.

I'm like a field of grain I wave to every biker or nod if I'm busy shifting or breaking. I think that it is TOO snobby not to wave. Many years ago in a simpler time I waved to a bike gang in Northern Ontario and to my surprise they waved back!
How I wave is usually a low 5 with all finger splayed or a low two finger similar to the peace sign.
Maybe its because I live in Canada but I would say that about 95% of the time I get a nod or a wave.

Well, I'm a girl. As such, I tend to wear a lot of pink so that guys know that's a girl in the black leather jacket and full face helmet. I wave at anything on two wheels with a motor (no bicycles over age 12 -- they annoy me). 90% of the time, I get a wave back from everybody. I ride a Suzuki Intruder and I wave at Harleys to rockets with pretty much the same results everywhere.
God, I love bikers!

For me I always give the 2 finger wave as a respect thing to all bikers no matter what you ride, and I would say 98% wave back,we are in a class of society all our own. A 2wheel brotherhood you might say, If I were to see a biker stranded I will stop and help if I can, Been riding most of my 46 year life and aint stoping now. enjoying the view 2 wheels at a time
Peace and ride safe

Low five kinda wave to all bikers. I don't care what they ride. Some crotch rocket guys look a little surprised when I wave from my Harley. But they wave back. 2 wheel people gotta stick together. And I don't care if someone is wearing a helmet. Makes no difference to me. Just so I don't have to wear it.

I wave to everyone, no matter what they are riding. I don't get a return wave from everyone, but so what.....f them if they think they are too good or whatever reason. I have NEVER received a return wave from someone on a sport bike.....but I'll keep on trying :)

I wave to most other riders. When I don't wave it is usually because I am turning or working the controls.
