People in this country (USA) want to be "ruled". They want a government that is controlled by big business. They want their constitutional freedoms taken from them. They want a government that does NOT care a thing about them as human beings. They want a government that would not spit in their mouth if they were on fire. Our government, and the politicans in charge, are an exact reflection of what people in the USA want. OTHERWISE they would not have continued to elect them for the past 30 years. IT's simple, in the USA, the government is EXACTLY how the majority of the people want it otherwise, it would not be how it is today.

I've found a flaw in your statement. While it may be true that people vote certain idiots into office (not mentioning any names, as if I need to) They represent a small portion of the US population. The problem is that a majority of people don't vote. The reason that people don't vote is because they think that their voice won't be heard even if they do vote. But what they don't realize is that they're not heard because of the fact that they don't vote. Politicians listen to the people that put them in power. If more people voted, then there would be someone in office who is a more accurate representation of the American people. Many people don't know that their one vote can influence the way this nation is shaped. If they knew that, then the voting population would increase significantly.

The government is a reflection of a conglomerate of the will of the voters and the information disseminated by a distorted propaganda machine called the MEDIA.
Both sides of the isle in Washington actually BELIEVE their own propaganda.
Unfortunately, too many of the population of America believe it too.
Only it is in conflict with itself and therefore behaves in an insane or, at best, neurotic manner.

From Nam until now I have NOT seen any change in my personal life which would have been affected according to your statements by the US government. That is utter
non-sense to even try to make one conceive that notion.

I have a good job, great home, and a beautiful family, I did not see our governemnt impinge on my personal life YET.

True but the Problem is that the MAJORITY is not supposed to rule absolutely! That's what the Constitution is supposed to be for but the MAJORITY no longer pay any attention to it!
