Power of the laser is P=hf^2 it is the poduct of Plank's constant and the frequency of the Laser beam square. Its Unit of power is there fore Enegy time x per unit period square which yields Kg m^2'seconds ^3 or in the vernacular its Joules per seconds.

People who said Watts or kW are certainly correct. However, for small powered lasers, like common laser pointers, mW would be more appropriate.
