Depends on what you want to do there and what you want to pay really. I wouldn't reccommend going to Tenerife to anyone as I hated it. But I was working there and there were a few situations that probably made it seem worse than it was. There are some really nice hotels there though. La plantaccion is a fairly new hotel and absolutely stunning, expect to pay stunning prices for it too though. For a cheaper hotel I'd go to the Sol Princessa Dacil, good location, good food and nice rooms. I hope I've helped.

Hollywood Mirage in Los Christianos. It's really lovely, nice food and the town is really pretty. Not too busy but lots of restaurants, bars and shops. There is a bus that runs down to town and beach and back throughout the day too. Tenerife is a bit hilly. Los Christianos would be the best place to look, i think.

Head over to http://www.resideo.com/es/tenerife and check out the list there -- a couple of 4-star resorts, a 3-star & a 2-star to look over.
Click the "Check Availability" button, choose your dates, then submit the form to see what's available for online booking.
Good luck, and have fun!
