Respect. You can see how appreciative people are when you give them respect. If it was more commonplace to respect one another than disrespect, hurt and cause other maladies to each other on purpose or out of ignorance, or lack of concern for others, this world would be a much kinder place to live in.

The best gift to give would be to be nice to everyone, to always try and see things from anothers point of view and to imagine how other people feel. Hold a door open for someone and let them go first. When there is a queue at the check out and people are tutting smile at the checkout girl/boy and let them know you don't mind waiting. Thank people for everything they do for you, take your neighbours bin out on dustbin day, and fetch it back when it is empty, stroke a neighbours cat even if you don't like cats. By doing all these things you will make yourself feel good and that is a gift to you. The more good things you do the better you feel and it escalates into all areas of you`re life I know this because I do it all the time. If an elderly relative has a story to tell listen to them and take an interest you will be old one day yourself and you too will have a story to tell and maybe someone will take the time to listen. Live your life right and live your life good. YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE !

My Daughter - My Dad - My Paternal Grandmother and My Best Friend..
Of all the gifts in this life, the indelible impact these four have had has surpassed everything else.. I am fortunate and happy.
If you mean in terms of qualities one possesses then I am blessed with resillience, intelligence and altruism.. lol but not modesty! (just kidding!)

The Universal Path and wisdom that Krishna Consciousness gave me.-
We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. I am so greatful for this eternal gift of knowing who I actually am and things as they truly are.
For info. Go to harekrishnatemple.com Read Bhagavad Gita- As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com you can read it on line.

Apart from my children then it would be their and mine unconditional love for each other, when my son wraps his arms around me and says mum I love you more than the universe it makes me swell up inside with joy, hapiness, pride and many other emotions,no material thing can match this love or that feeling given by my son,its not something you can buy and it will never break, fall apart or fade over time, its the gift we have given to each other..................

Probably everything I've read in Hagakure, it really shows the mechanics behind courage.
"No matter if the enemy has thousands of men, there is fulfillment in simply standing them off and being determined to cut them all down, starting from one end. You will finish the greater part of it."
Foresight would've been nice too though =)

The best gift came from my first teacher, my mother; recognition that I have the power to be everything I want to be. The second best gift: independent thought.

Anxiety. I hated it. Now I love it and owe the evolution of personality to the experience of an emotion that most people will avoid through activities such as sex, drugs, food, gambling, alcohol, etc.

oral sex is the best think me not as a pervert, but think, the act of giving pleasure to its max without asking for said pleasure in return when a person may bless you with this act and ask for nothing in return i would say that is the best 'non-material' gift you can't use it tomorrow but the memory of reciving this gift will lift you every time
