Buying watermelons with seeds increases the fun of eating it! They have watermelon seed spitting contests at watermelon festivals. My family always bought the ones with seeds. I have unfortunately developed an allergy to all melons so I can't enjoy watermelons seeded or seedless now. It's one of the few things I can't eat that I would really love to be able to enjoy! As a kid my parents would buy a watermelon and my aunt & uncle's family that lived across the dirt road would come over and we'd all eat watermelon outside. It was great! Nothing better than watermelon on hot summer night outdoors.

Most of the seedless watermelons that I have bought from the grocery store have little flavour. If you want real watermelon flavour, then order seeds from a heirloom seed seller and grow your own. I can no longer buy seeded watermelons from the big food chains because they only carry the seedless ones now. Farmers markets and roadside stands where people sell what they actually grow is the only alternative.

OMG! talk about (Frankenstein) Genetically Modified (Watermelons) Food!
Imagine the future, all those women that eat watermelon not being able to produce any seeds (eggs). I wouldn't touch any food that has been tampered with by mad US scientists / drug companies.
