People call me a racist. But the truth is, i don't care what race people are. I just don't like the persona the majority of black people put on. Their grandparents fought for equality and now they seem to be trying to lower themselves by talking like they're uneducated and other things...

And the mexicans, some of them especially the younger ones try to be so hard and overdo the "I'm mexican I'm a gangster" thing, meanwhile forgetting all about their true heritage and the hardships their family has gone through.

Don't get me wrong though, I've met plenty of really nice black and mexican people. Its just sad that others have to ruin the reputation for the entire race.

I have many different friends and have never made that a requirement. I want friends just the way they are and that means their ethnic background as well.
Their personality is all that matters.

Not at all and I don't care what others think about it either and they know it. My boyfriend is white and I'm black, we've been together for almost 2 years and live in an all black neighborhood and they all know that their opinions don't mean sh*t to me. To anyone who gives in to pressure because of who you choose as a friend or partner you need to grow up and get a spine!!!!!

Does anyone else know why we're getting thumbs down?

It matters in manners only.
I wouldn't want to offend another person inadvertently by not knowing customary greetings, and the like.
