If it is your surroundings that are depressing you, I know the feeling oh too well, why can't you transfer to a medical college here in the states? People do it all the time. We have more foreign medical students than American students. Well that may be stretching it a bit, but not by much. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, do something to help yourself. Find out how or if you can transfer. If you are unable to do that, then focus on the future when you can. You have set your goal already, so strive to reach that goal and don't let anything get in your way, especially depression, which by the way can kill you!!! Get involved with other kids at school, join a group of some kind.....do anything but lay around crying and feeling sorry for yourself.

Once you've given your feelings some room to breathe, look at something to make you laugh. It probably won't work at first, but if you keep watching things--Monty Python, a sitcom, a trashy reality show--your mind will work off her. Don't try to repress anything, just understand that you've given the even its fifteen minutes, come to terms with the fact she's gone, she's not coming back, but you had some good times nonetheless, then release the grief back into the world. You don't need to keep the pain. You can keep the happiness you had, no matter how brief, and let the negativity go.

ok, first of all we all have problems, so do not worry, you are not the only one. then, think of the advantages u have that others dont. for example, u are at least going to college, you have a place to live in, you eat everyday, and you are still alive. even if u think that you are no longer worth of living, remember that uhave a life ahead, and if u choose the wrong desicion, many will suffer for u. i used to cry everynight but for different reasons. anyway, here are some tipps to make u feel better.
1. breath deeply, and try redecorating your living area, a new place to be in is always soo much fun!!! but is that stresses you(it sometimes stresses me, lol) than dont do it =)
2. have a coplete make ove, change the color of your hair, maybe change the color of your nauls, bye new clothes, etc.
3. get a pet, yes it is alot of responsability, nut maybe start with something small, like a hamster, or something,
4. invite your friends and relatives over, family and friends are always of great help.
i cant think of anymore, but dont worry. life is hard sometimes, and for others allot harder, but we all go through rough and smooth times. keep us in touch, and remember, since u are studying medicine, there will be a day were u might save someone elses life!
good luck and dont worry, everything will be alright =D

yeah, it looks like depression, it's a serious issue that affects some part of population.
I have got a same problem about a year ago when almost anything that happened that time was making me more and more dull. And all I can say is: at the beginning, accept your past, accept yourself in every single detail, and force yourself to see everything in bright light. Remember that people will see you as you see yourself.
However I will suggest going to a psychologist who'll take care of your problem, It's just a matter of time until you'll reborn ;)

you need to face what is causing the depression. is it something you can do something about?
if you can stop the depression, I think all the pain, worry from the depression is also the cause of the crying. like other have said, you need to get some medication, this will help. but if you know what the depression is from, that is what you need to stop, if you can.
you just feel ugly, because of the way you feel. I bet you are not ugly at all. it's just the pain you are going threw for now.
Good Luck,

Kate, you do sound like you suffer from major depression. Get connected with a good therapist and psychiatrist. Work with them, and they will help you get back on track! Good luck, and keep safe. If you feel like you are going to do something to hurt yourself, go to your nearest crisis center or ER.

Sounds familiar. I feel for you...been there...and still have my moments. Didn't your doc prescribe some anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medication? Therapy can be helpful too. You need to do something to help yourself, as it probably won't get any better on its own. Good Luck.

As other urge--go to a professional physcian, a psychiatrist who can evaluate as to whether it's situational and/or physiological! Appropriate meds can alleviate a great deal of stress, leaving you to solve do-able problems rationally!! Good luck!!

I think you are suffering from depression and you need to see a psychiatrist. You don't have to keep suffering from this condition.
