Have the dealer check it out your Air Bag system isn't working right.

there are two strong possibilities, both of which should be covered under your warranties.

the first is called an Occupant Presence Detection Sensor that is used to determine the size and weight of passengers seated in the front seat. Honda has a problem with them going bad and turning the SRS light on. Honda extended the warranty on those sensors so if it is that problem, the repair will be done at no charge.

the second possibility is the seat belt buckle. there is a switch inside the buckle that tells the SRS computer that you have your seat belt on. If the switch goes bad the system doesn't know if you have the seat belt on or not. seat belts have a lifetime warranty from honda so if it is that problem then it will be repaired at no charge.

when the SRS light is on the system is disabled and the air bags will not work, so its imperative that you take the car to a Honda dealer to get it checked and repaired as soon as possible.

hope that helps

Don't panic. But at the same time don't search out to hit anything either. Just make an appointment to get it into the dealer. They'll take care of it. It could just be a sensor going bad, or a loose wiring harness. These can be fixed by the dealer. Don't try to do it yourself.

Had the same problem on my g/f's 01 Accord EX... The sensor in the driver seat selt recepter went bad, so the dealer replaced it (under warranty) and that fixed the problem.

Got the same problem in my 93 Honda Civic Lx. Mine was a wire that had gotten disconnected. Just be careful until you get it fixed not to wreck!
