Cingular, Verizon, T-mobile or Sprint?
I want a cellphone for myself or maybe 2 cellphones, one for me and one for my boyfriend. What's the best in terms of reception, free received calls, long-distance... I live in Pennsylvania.

I have Cingular/AT&T in a very populated part of Northern California, and I get dropped calls all the time. They have pretty lousy reception but all my friends have Verizon and they really love it. I've heard Verizon works almost anywhere in the country, even in the boonies. The good thing about AT&T is that they have rollover minutes so what you don't use each month rolls over to the next month. T-Mobile is a close second to Verizon, good reception and coverage area and fewer dropped calls than AT&T. Plus T-Mobile has more minutes than the other carriers for the same price, so they seem to have the best deals in their phone plans among the major carriers.

If you go to the following website, you can compare all major carrier plans right here. They work with all of them and if you get a family plan for you and your boyfriend, you can get 2 very cool cell phones for free with a new family plan. They have some great deals and you can compare everything through one website.

I have heard nothing good about sprint or T-mobile. Verizon has really bad coverage and free minutes start at 9. Cingular had pretty good coverage and free minutes start at 7.

I think you can enter your zip code on those web sites and they will tell you your coverage. T-Mobile has really good service plans that are cheap and some decent phones. Verizon is also a favorite in Pennsylvania, as that is where I live.

You could also try Cricket. $45 dollars a month for unlimited everything. Their phones are quite expensive though.

That would be Cingular, now the new AT&T. The best coverage, best phones, best network. #1 provider in the US and also international accessibility.
