Im thinking of upgrading my Computer`s memory. Is this fairly straight forward. I know what I want it`s just a matter of installing it. My owner`s manual pr-installed on my Comp. will not open for some reason, ( It used to) so Im a bit stumped.
Thanks to you all

all you have to do is remove the screws securing the case and take the door off open the two pins at either end of the ram slot and put the new memory in the slot. It will has a indentation that will only fit the slot one way. push it into the slot and it will click when properly inserted and then close the case up and check your bios to see if it recognized the new memory or beeps at you in which case you have the wrong memory speed.

Yo First of all try to get your hand on the manual, this is to get the boards max RAM capacity ( you dont want to buy RAM then the board cant take that much ) The find out the type of RAM ( DDR or DDR2 ) If your board can hold 2GB of RAM max and you have only 2 slots then you'll need to buy two 1G sticks of RAM. If you buy four 512MB sticks although it's 2gigs only two of them will fit, get it? Now find out the max speed of RAM your board can take( in MHz ). Locating the Ram slots is a breeze, Just find the RAM on the motherboard and you find the slots. Push them in hard until you hear a click. It can only go in one way so if it does'nt fit turn it around. Now to find the specs of yor PC , just download a small diagnostics program like CPUZ or PC Wizard

Its Very Easy.

Theres About 4 Slots In the Motherbaord, Just make Sure Your Rams The Right Type. You need to look for What Type (DDR400, or DDR2 ) and also what speed. (600mhz,800mhz Ect)

Once you got it, just see that the clips are inline, and PUSH !

Restart Computer, And Wala !
