Well dude, this is part and parcel of us. Human beings are made up of different characters and not many of us can click with each other. People are proud of the good things that are said and done, but all it takes is a sarcasm and our morale and mood will just sway the other way.

Just look at the sarcasms as another remarks that will help you improve on the things you've done and take it as a test to your character. As long as the insults are not aimed at your family members, do your very best to correct the sarcasms and prove critics wrong.

That's how people work these days and it proves evident that there are many success stories.

It's hard to not let that one weiner who insults you be the focus, probably because you're wondering "What did I ever do to them?"

And yes, I have had my character impugned, and it is amazing that grown adults don't take the time to find out what people are like for themselves, instead of following another's opinion like a sheep.

Funny how that works isn't it? I am guilty of it myself. What helped me to grow was something that actually hurt to hear ... a good friend once said ... "Get over it. Not everyone is going to like you!" That was like a slap in the face! What did she mean not everyone was going to like? I'm a likeable person d*mit!" lol That was a good lesson, though, because I realized that no matter what you say or do there will be some people who just don't like you or what you stand for.

Now I try not to waste my time worrying about those people .. because in the larger scheme of things it really doesn't matter. It's their jealousy or ignorance that is the problem ~ not you Billy. I can tell by all your friends and fans here that you must be a pretty terrific guy.

Here's a quote that always comes to mind in these situations:

“Be who you are and say what you feel ~ because those who mind don't matter ~ and those who matter ... don't mind.”

Dr. Seuss said that .. and Dr. Seuss is NEVER wrong!

Compliments are easy to accept, insults never are.

I'm guilty of that as well. I know that I should focus more on the positive side of things instead of the negative side of things although it's easier to focus on the negative aspects when the negative aspects are pretty much everywhere we turn our heads. Let's have fun and focus on the positives.

It only takes a little darkness to take the focus off the light. We all dwell on the negative at times, and people usually pointlessly attack another persons character when insecure or jealous. Don't let the "yijits" get to you :-)

Unfortunately we're all guilty of it, it's human nature.

People attacking your character is uncalled for. Unfortunately this site seems like a breeding ground for idiots, and people that need serious mental help. My first thought of course is to say just ignore them, but then that brings us back to our first question now doesn't it. Nevertheless you're well loved Billy, and we know what's true and what isn't. They only pick with you because they know how special you are. Big dragon hugs to you sweetie. ♥

and yes, just very recently my character has been impugned by someone who should know better.
