I think the guard over-reacted here - there is a big difference between pride in a specific cultural or national heritage, and white supremacy.
Keep in mind that "white pride" is usually equated with "white supremacy"; it's not accurate or fair, but it's a case of a few racist jerks ruining it for the rest of us.
Yes, you have every right to be proud of being Hungarian. But if you say you're proud to be be white, most people will assume that your pride is dependent on oppressing or putting down other races.
It's also a matter of majority rule - as a white person in America, you and your family have not had to face the same struggle and discrimination based on your skin color that other races have, so there is no need to declare your pride in surviving and achieving great things in a struggle you never had to face.

So being proud of being Hungarian is perfectly justified here, but I hope this explains why white "pride" is rather unnecessary and so easily misunderstood.

This happened in an American mall? Talk about first amendment infringement! Contact the mall owners pronto. Take a photo of the t-shirt, get the names of the individuals who stopped you, document the date and time and the conversation as best you can.

I don't see what your being white would have to do with it. It could be any shift declaring any nation.

In the U.S, school children are not allowed to wear T-shirts displaying racist, ethnic, or controversial information. Government and businesses do not allow employees to wear such information and you can't advertise this info on your office cubicle, bulletin boards, etc. Hope this helped.

It's not racist that was very unfair that you had to leave the mall. People should be proud of their race.

Didn't know Hungarian was a race -- no it's not racist,
but if you check into it a little, I think you'll find that it IS
illegal --- the folks in the mall should be held accountable.

I don't see anything wrong with your shirt. I think you should seek further action against that mall maybe go talk with an attorney because that's not right at all.

Looks like they were racist to me. That shirt didn't offend anyone so I don't see why they felt the need to kick you out of the mall.
I think that was wrong..

wow, how dumb. Racist against who, non-hungarians? There's no such race as non-hungarians.
