Is it a requirement that all tv characters that commit a crime must be punished in some way? Whether they get locked up or whatever.
Also do the police always have to win against criminals?
I thought I read this somewhere. Cant remember where though.

it used to be years ago a film could not be made in which the criminal or criminals were seen to get away with a crime

The Italain job was a classic example remember the scene the bus hanging and the gold hovering and you have always wondered the ending you have to form your own opinion.

I am still under the impression that it it still is the case,

about getting punished or caught I dont think that was the case the main criteria not making a profit or getting away with murder was not allowed.
If anyone can name a film or drama on tv where the villians won I would like to know myself. Do not count documentarys because they are have to end in the way real life did

What films have you been watching disney ones!? I see far to many films where women (ok rare but sometime men)get raped and no justice. The murders get away with things and all sorts and police don't win barely at all not in the films i see on t.v i thought they were just being more realistic.
