it depends on the persons age, sex, genes, and the environment you are sleeping in you need to be more specific,

babies need the most sleep while elders need the least amount(down to 4 hours I've heard)
men need less sleep than women,

and it depends on where you sleep, the comfort of your bed, for example you would get a better sleep in the dark rather than in daylight,

also I've read on national geographic that the people who live the longest sleep between 6-7 hours a day
