He certainly can. He's still at an early point in his career and has plenty of time to grow and develop. Anyone jumping ship on Eli now is being reactionary.
Not every great quarterback entered the league like Peyton. Further, not every great quarterback made an immediate impact. It took Peyton a little while to get his SB ring.
I think it will all come down to Eli getting the time he needs to grow, mature, and find the right kind of chemistry with his receivers. He doesn't have a weapon like Marvin Harrison or Chad Johnson. And the franchise RB retiring early doesn't help, either.
But in time, should those pieces fall into place, I think he'll be great. I look forward to the Manning Bowl one day.

He probably will be, if Jeff Blake and Brian Greise were Pro-Bowl Qb's, then why can't Eli be one too! I beleive the Giants will struggle, but he will be better. People forget a few things about him:
1.) He's durable, he's not injury prone and thats the first thing to be a great QB.
2.) For everything that goes wrong this season, you can't put all the blame on him because his coach is terrible, he just his Pro-Bowl Rb, and he's losing his defense in Strahan.
He probably will go to a few, and I do beleive he will win the big game, but not with the Giants or at least without Couglin. Give him a chance, and he will be good

Aaron Rodgers has 2 pro bowl recievers? As far as I know the recievers for the NFC are Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Roddy White, and Steve Smith. Driver is a former pro-bowler, I'll give you, but Jennings is not. But would you like to know why none of the 3 are pro-bowlers? Cuz they're from a small market and the fans vote! There are 5.5 million people in the entire state of Wisconsin and over 8 million in New York City alone. How is that fair?!?

The only way Eli is ever going to be good and make it to a Pro Bowl is if he gets out of New York and onto another team. There is too much pressure for him. He should have stayed at San Diego.

I am a Giants fan and I have high hopes for Eli. If he can get his accuracy up and his line can give him a few more seconds to make up his mind who to throw too, then he can be a pro bowler every year. He has plenty of guys to throw too, but he can't do that if the line doesn't give him any time.

No friggin way in Hadies to all three of your Eli questions. As far as Peyton, I wouldn't argue a bit. He is the best QB in the NFL in my opinion. People have gambled on Eli his entire football career hoping he would compare to his big brother. He hasn't and never will.

Sure. People forget he's lead the Giants to the playoffs both of his full years as the starter. Plus he's only entering his 4th season. His last name is just an easy way for people to knock him but anyone who uses that is really not all that smart.

Maybe. someday but, this season and, next, are critical for Him. if He doesn't show significant improvement within that period, He may not be in Jersey, much longer. He needs to show more consistency.

People that say he won't are stupid. He's a Manning and has QB in his blood. Just give him time. It won't be this year because Tiki just retired.
