Hmm, well, of those, I like Rooney and the Arctic Monkeys. I absolutely love the Arctic Monkeys! I'm going to a concert of theirs in September where they are performing w/ Queens of the Stone Age...and speaking of QotSA, I would recommend them to you too. Especially their new album, Era Vulgaris, because it's really good. But yeah, I'm crazy about the Arctic Monkeys...the other bands you named are really good too, like Interpol, The Kooks, and The Shins, but I'm not particularly a big fan...

I like Interpol, The shins, and Modest Mouse and I would recommend The National, The Walkmen, Broken Social Scene, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, and The Faint, and The Rapture.

I only like the great song called Dashboard by Modest Mouse
Have you tried Say Anything? My favorite song is called "Wow! I Can Be Sexual Too," and don't discard the song by its name, it was just a mistake they made while naming the song.

I like all those bands, except I've never heard of the Pigeon Detectives. I think you would like The Automatic Automatic and Fiction Plane. They are both great and similar to the ones you mentioned.

Since everyone has suggested good artists, let me add the all-american rejects and DHT to the list. AAR has a solid number of good songs(move along, dirty little secret, it ends tonight) and DHT is really ear pleasing (listen to your heart, I go crazy).
