Liberals hate controls, limits, restrictions.
They hate to see anyone suffer, no matter what the reasons.
Conservatives hate waste and chaos, preferring some amount of order and accountability.
They too hate to see others suffer, but will not put the public good, ahead of the one suffering.
IMHO.

Hagar, I really hope you don't believe that.
EDIT: If liberals don't already notice that, they aren't paying attention. This kind of question just helps to polarize our nation more.
EDIT: Dennis, I feel like a small voice on here sometimes. I really had hoped to learn more about the issues and to debate them. So far, all I am learning are more hateful words to call liberals and conservatives. It's sad, I agree.

As an outsider(Canadian) looking in, I get the impression that both sides hate the issues.
It is easier to come up with null content insults and rhetoric than to actually discuss anything.
A course I took in interpersonal skills said "if anyone is yelling; no one is listening."

Conservatives hate people that steal our freedoms by forcing us to participate in government programs and use the government to regulate our businesses and lives. "Give me liberty or give me death."
Liberals hate conservatives.
