If Colon Powell would have run, I would have voted for him.

I never voted before 2000, it wasn't until I became married and a father (for the first time) that I got involved in voting. I do not think there was another viable candidate in '04 Dem or Rep. I did vote for the lesser of the two evils. Aside from the war I do not think Bush could not have done a better job.

***Don't forget........Democrats voted for Bush too.

Bush was not my first choice because he is not conservative enough. He was too much of a an appeaser to the Democrats especially in the beginning of his administration. While this worked quite well when he was governor of Texas and he was dealing with more moderate Democrats at the State level, it was exactly the wrong approach inside the beltway.

So, yes, I would have elected a different, more conservative Republican.

Boy, do I ever wish we had someone different! Early in 2000, my preferred candidate was Orrin Hatch. But he came in last place in the Iowa caucuses and dropped out before I had a chance to vote for him. Then I was leaning toward McCain, but he started behaving and talking as if the best way to get the Republican nomination is to get more Democrats than Republicans to vote for him in Republican primaries. At that point I saw him as being too divisive. The rest of the field looked horrible after I eliminated Hatch and McCain.

(I'm not supporting any party now, btw. I did not vote in 2004 and I'll probably never vote again.)

He won the 2000 nomination by slandering John McCain in South Carolina, as he slandered Ann Richards to become Gov. of Texas (maybe not him personally, but his handlers).

Although the 2008 version of McCain is a Bush puppet, the 2000 John McCain was a true maverick that would have done a far better job and probably would have avoided a 9/11 in the first place.

You mean in the primaries? HELL YES!

To many moderates don't vote in the primaries, so when November comes around, we are stuck trying to choose between two idiots!

<<<<<<<< VOTE in the PRIMARIES >>>>>>>>
if you want a GOOD CHOICE come November 08!!!!

I would have. In fact, I disapproved of Bush so much I (*gasp*) voted for Kerry. It was stupid though, I was in Tennessee and there was no point in not voting Republican.

No way. Bush is a rock star! You gotta love W !!

McCain??? Don't make me laugh. McCain is a Democrat that just happens to call himself a republican. Why do you think he's currently losing so badly?

HELL NO....I realize some folks need someone to blame all their failures on. But Thank Goodness, it was Bush in charge, when all hell broke loose.
