I put a ball of aluminum foil in my parents microwave when I was in grade school and destroyed it. It coincidentally was the same day as parent-teacher meetings at school. Not the best day I've ever had.

Yes, I think everyone has had these little mishaps in the kitchen before. . .I've mangled a few spoons in the disposal in my time.
My husband blew up the microwave while trying to hard boil an egg back in late December 1999. I remember the date because we had to have the microwave serviced because of this dumb move. Anyway, parts had to be ordered for it and I remember joking with the serviceman that we may not need it anyway if the world was going to end soon (Y2K fear and all). LOL!

=| I blew up two hard boiled eggs in the microwave once, it sounded exactly like gun shots, it scared the crap out of me! It really felt like my heart stopped when I heard them explode.... very scary experience, haven't done it again..
