Google Earth is good but you should try Windows Live Local.
It has a feature called "birds eye" view. It's not available in all areas but all you have to do is get to place you want to see using the satellite view, click on the little box that looks like some buildings. With this view which can be adjusted from 4 directions. You can a car in the driveway with this feature.

I am assuming you mean an aerial view. If you got a view from space you wouldn't be able to see human made features.

There are several sites where you can get this picture. Google maps or Terra server are just two that come to mind.
