I voted for him twice but have changed my view on politics since then. I always thought that politicians tended to be dishonest/corrupt, yet I bought into the team/mob mentality that politicians with Rs next to their names tended to be less corrupt than the guys across the aisle. I now think that it is foolish to believe in ANYONE who advocates greater government power.
We can debate what is a dictator or whether Bush is one. I'll say this though. I think that those early American revolutionaries were onto something when the talked about "limited government". Republican, Democrat or other, don't you think we moved quite far toward UNlimited government? I hope that you can see how this has caused problems.

Prabably as much as I ever did. How is a man who couldn't get "amnesty" through a democratic senate with their support, can't get troop funding through congress on his terms, coulldn't get the tax cuts made permanent even with a republican congress, has tried to compromise with the dems even when he shouldn't, took 6 months to get staffed enough to run the government on a skeleton basis and it is still not fully staffed, had to revoke two appointments to the supreme court, called a dictator. I can see nothing he has successfully "dictated" except possible the 8 Federal DA's and that doesn't hold a candle to Clintons 93.

President Bush has never been a dictator. His legacy has been to reach across the political aisle whenever possible, and he was well known for that even as Governor of Texas. The liberals have made nearly impossible to do throughout Bush's Presidency, and they have been far worse ever since gaining power in the Senate. How is ANYONE supposed to cooperate with the likes of Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Ted Kennedy and others of their ilk, much less put up with abuses such as you have just posted?

i've got an issue. does anybody remember how after the clintons left the white house that they had to ask hillary to please return the furniture she took from the lincoln room? how about whitewater? not ranting, but things like this disturb me. they give me clear vision through the haze of topics and who supports what and why. i only vote on character, and i've only voted once in my life. these days it seems like nobody can even recognize when someone is being earnest, candid and humble. these things used to mean something to the american people, now they are considered characteristic traits of being a moron. what happened to us and do we deserve to be the most powerful nation the world has ever seen? makes me wonder if we shouldn't have stayed attached to england and the crown, where chivalry and fortitude won the day.

Bush isn't a dictator. The only reason I voted for Jorge Bush was because he was better than the alternative. Gore and Kerry would have been MUCH worse.

Dictator or not if you are still speaking english and living in a free country and are not ducking bombs and buildings crashing than you'd best shut your big mouth and thank President Bush for it!

Perhaps those who go around with blinders on believe that. Just as they believed Clinton was a great president. Clinton's two big accomplishments were giving away jobs to other countries in exchange for campaign contributions and seducing Monica in the White House. Perhaps You could expand that to his third accomplishment in making Hillary believe it was not sex. That marked her intelligence level for all to see.

He didn't even win the election for his second term. Have you all forgotten which state decided the election and who the governor of Florida is? The U.S government is just as corrupt, if not more so, than any other government out there, it's just the U.S. population doesn't seem to care or most of us don't seem to realize.
