In my case, unfortuntely not too much. But I came across Canadian newspaper recently in library and was absolutely impressed with the writing style, the thorough information in every article, the respect shown for the readers. Since I have a passion for good journalism, I can only say I'm very glad the Canadians are blessed with such a newspaper.
I do wish we had something like that here in the U.S., instead of so much sensationalism and celebrity news!!!

On the surface they're just like Americans -only nicer.
Once you get to know them you find they are very different in a million subtle ways. One thing I really like about Canadians is they don't prostitute themselves for career and cash; and they don't expect you to sell your soul for the rent money.
Another thing is Canadians are competitive but they don't believe you should win at any cost. They rarely lose their sense of fair play.
I have visited Canada many times and I would gladly live there if it wasn't so cold or I could get a job as a screenwriter in Toronto or Vancouver. My favorite place is Kingston Ont. but there's plenty of Canada I haven't seen yet.

Quite a few of my very close neighbors are snow birds who come down for the winter. They're all very nice, when they're here, we have many dinners and parties in eah other's homes.
I used to go fishing in Quebec a couple of times each summer, and have traveled in many other areas . About fourty-nine out of fifty are really nice friendly people. Of course, as with people all over the world, there are always a few rotten apples.

In Quebec they speak French.
Gay Marriage is legal in most provences, maybe all.
The Provences of Canada, I know without looking:
Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Seskatuwan (can't spell it), and one starts with a B.
They've only got one highway.
And I've never met a mean Canadian.
Or an American who was nicer.
And I lived on the boarder.

Ummm...not quite sure of the context of the question but:
`87% of the population is either of English or French descent;
Pretty laid back, friendly people generally speaking;
Strong sense of social responsibility;
Hockey fans (and other winter sports);
Were very nearly Americans - thank your lucky stars you won the battle;
Kind of find Americans contemptuously amusing (in my experience)
I could go on but I think that's good enough for now...

I've know two transplanted Canadians. They are so nice and funny and are always teasing us about our Southern drawl. But I guess they like it because they have found jobs and stayed here. My cousin spent eight months in Canada on a job... he loved it and said it is beautiful. I want to visit someday.

You've become a bunch of socialists. Fascists. French snobs. Socialized medicine. Etc.
I would say that the average Canadian today would agree with Michael Moore about 90 percent of the time.

They are a bunch of liberal socialists who pay extremely high taxes for their bloated social services system. fortunately, they are pretty docile and are not trying to take over the northern part of the US like our other neighbors are doing to the South.
Now if we could just get Micheal Moore to shut the "F" up!
