Yea, I'm just really curious. I'm kind of new to the whole gay community and some things I just don't get. I mean I know in straight world, rarely do guys and girls become friends after they hooked up...unless it's just for that. Note: I'm not saying that it's impossible for straight guys and girls to not be friends ever. However, I just notice, and no I do not have valid facts, just my own observation that most of the time the people who you are friends with now either hooked up with you, wanted to hook up with you or dated and it just did not work out. Why is that you suppose?

Hmmm...this is a good question.

I don't know - but I really am about 70/30 when it comes to gay male friends that I have, 70% being always just friends. That's still a little high - I think I do it because when I care for someone I care for them, even after things don't work out romantically. Maybe gay men have more compassion? Nah, that's a generalization, and I know some gay pigs, too.

BUT - most of my friends are girls and lesbians, really. :)

An excellent observation. Many of my gay friends are just what you describe. A former hook up, a wish-we-hooked-up, or dated and just didn't happen kinda thing. Why is that?? Don't know, but i am sure glad it worked out that way in my case. I have some wonderfully supportive and very cool friends that I stumbled onto in this way - True Blessings in disguise i guess.

Well, it is true. We do have a different kinda code in this community. While some of us do remain friendly with our exes....speaking from experience....we mistook friendship for relationships...and most times no one did anything to compromise the relationship...sometimes it just doesn't work out...doesn't mean you loose that person...or at least you don't have to! When you are a mature adult...you learn to not treat other negatively....therefore it can be open to friendship.

Just try dropping hints to him, or you can just go up to him and say "Hey, I like you." and if he is a sex-driven pervert, you can also add "and I want to 'make love' with you" and there is the possibility that he's just not into, or he sees that you two are stuck in the friend zone, so he doesn't try anything.

A few but not many at all for me. But I have made the same observation about a lot of other gay men, so you may be right.

No. I've never slept with my friends.
Most of the guys I've dated, we do remain 'friendly" but we don't hang out on a regular basis.
I'm attached now and haven't slept with anyone else since we've been together(over 7 years now.)

No, my friends are those I've had for many years. Although many are only friends, those I've dated have remained friends. So I guess it all just melts together.

I never talk to guys I've sleep with, again. Unless we hook up again.
