I don't know for certain, but mites are too small to serve as prey for most adult spiders. There are of course some very small spider species, and presumably mites might (no pun intended) be eaten by them. Also, mites could well serve as food for tiny newborn spiders of the free-roaming varieties, especially those inhabiting soil, where mites are abundant (web-building spiders would be less likely to encounter mites).

Spiders eat mites and its a good idea to NOT kill every spider you see in your home.

Depending on the species, spiders eat many types of insects. Some larger ones eat small birds, even mice.
