Yeah of course. It's especially true, because I listen to a lot of French and Italian music and don't need to know all the words.

Some tribal music is hard to relate to. I checked out this CD from Lima Peru a few years ago to branch out and the librarian laughed at me. Not only that, but I didn't even enjoy the music, even though I was trying to discover new sounds.

Overall it's a Universal language. Sometimes there is a problem communicating though.

Almost.

I believe that empiricism has shown that mathematics is really the only true universal language. Since music is a way of expressing things mathematically (rhythms are simply patterns, tones are simply frequencies, and so on) then music can be said to be part of the universal language that is mathematics.

partly , I agree in the statement about good things never to last.... but people have choices, if they chose to enjoy the good things in life, they could atleast try to re-evaluate ... Like could they make it last a little longer, or even longer... however, if the good things are gone, one could still find a way of seeking the good things that would , could make life better...... as much as bad things are not meant to last forever, so are the good things... but losing the good experiences in life, may only be a challenge to seek a better and happy life.. it is only a matter o fhow we look at it in our own point of view.

Yeah. I listen to all different types of worldly music. The only music anyone can hate is Sheila Chandra. All she does is babble like an idiot.

yeah. i think that music is a connecter. like, if you want to befriend someone, get to know what their music tastes are first and go from there. that's what i did and i have the most best friends ever!! ^__^ if there is one thing taht everyone can relate to, it's music - hands down.
