my uncle clogged the toilet, and i forgot that it was clogged and went to the bathroom. i scooped out my feces with a shovel (which was nauseating) and then tried to plunge. i flushed the toilet again, and it was still clogged. the toilet is now filled with brown, murky liquid. did i use the plunger correctly? and are there any quick, inexpensive solutions?

Rent a toilet auger, (plumbers snake) about $10.

or you can try a wire clothes hanger.

Kristin D got it right. (by the by, a closet auger and a snake are two different things) You can BUY a closet auger for ten bucks at wal-mart (the devil) home despot and lowes. A plunger may work, make sure to remove as much "water" as possible first so you don't end up wearing it. Cover the hole as tightly as possible, amnd keep plunging WITHOUT lifting up the plunger. Everytime you do that you are starting over again.

Good Luck

Use the plunger. Make sure you have a good seal and plunge away. If that does not work, you may have to use a closet snake or call a plumber. Sorry.

Did you use a regular plunger or a toilet plunger. Toilet plungers make a better seal and therefore do a better job. If the TP can't bust the clog out of there you will have to tray using a snake.

Get a power plunger. It is basically a compressed air plunger. It has more power than a regular plunger and should do the trick. You can get them at any hardware store.
