This is my personal opinion as a non-degreed engineer.

Civil Engineering is a very broad discipline with many aspirants competing for the available jobs.

Metallurgy and Material Sciences are less popular as a degree yet is very relevant to the development of new technology and products. I think it's more relevant to the future of industry and therefore offers better job potential.

But you should go with the one that interests you the most. That will enable you to do a better job and find greater job satisfaction.
