the equation is 48 divided by 3 x 2 - 2 x 3 = 2 and i need to know where the perenthisis go to make the answer true...help plx

It will work if you put the ( ) around 3x2. See,

48/(3x2) - 2x3
= 48/6 - 2x3
= 8 - 6
= 2

done!

48 / (3 x 2) - (2 x 3)
= 48 / 6 - 6
= 8 - 6
= 2

All I can come up with is [48/(3x2)] - (2x3) = 2
