It's normal. You bleed out of a different tube every month. You have two and they alternate. One month mind is very long and heavy, the next month I hardly notice.

There is no "normal". Average is 5 days of bleeding. Can range anywhere from a single day of only light spotting all the way up to 10 days of heavy bleeding for some women. Will also change with some women from month to month, drpending on their hormone levels. Different for everyone.

normal is from 2 to 7 days.the average for a young woman is around 5 days.the average for older women is 3-4 days.if u have pcos or fibroids ,u can bleed longer, but this is due to medical conditions and is not typical.for teens, hard to quote an average, hormonal activity at this time is unstabel,so irregularly long or short periods are possible in the first 1-2 years of menstruation.the body will eventually gravitate to a usual rhythm.

Arguement settled! I'm going to assume your in your teens, but even if your not, no biggie . Yes it is VERY normal to have periods that fluctuate from time to time, and for some they're never exactly the same. You can Always make an appt with your Dr. to confirm and set your mind at ease, but I'm certain your probably just fine. And again judging by the lack of info, if you are younger, then you should expect your periods to be really crazy for the first few years, it take time for your cycle to get regulated. Best wishes...

Hello..
The duration of the flow can be up to seven days and also there may be an overlay of up to seven days in having the next period.
To have the duration for 3 days and them many times for 5 to 6 days is also normal. It may become more consistent during the coming years.
If this thing persists ans the frequency of irregularity increases or the flow is irregular, please consult a gynecologist.

A women's period can vary in length. Some women experience it for 3 days, others for 7. I wouldn't worry too much about the fact that yours varies from month to month, it's probably just normal. If you are seriously concerned about it speak to your gynocologist. They'll be able to tell you if it's normal or not, and may even put you on a birth control pill to help make your cycle more regular.

Hope this helps. :-)

Yes, it's very normal. Periods are meant to be 3 days because it is the average number of most periods to stop. More than three days or less than three days are totally normal for everyone, it really depends on your body. Ive had more than three days too and sometimes less.. So don't worry about it xD

The average duration of a period is 5 days, 3 days of bleeding and spotting a day on either side. They are variable in duration, even in the same woman, so relax.

Nothing is set in stone when it comes to menstruation. You can't rely on it happening every month or how many days it will take or how heavy_light the flow will be plus it's a guessing game what might take place with discharge. That's why it's called the Curse !

It sounds like you're just starting out. If so, then this is very normal until your body stabilizes in a few years. You're still growing, and hormones are building in places they've never been....a growth development.

Don't worry about it, it's early. If you like, you can chart it so you have an idea of how it's going.
