does nail polish make ur nails more brittle or do anything bad because i was thinking of using my 1$ nail polish it wont wreck my nails like make them brittle so they wotn grow long agen?

No it won't wreck your nails. If you get manicures professionally done there can be problems if the salon isn't as careful as they should be about keeping their implements clean. If you get a nail fungus you need to clear it up before using polish again but the polish won't be a problem. Nails depend on you general health so if your nails get brittle it's more of a systemic issue than what you put on them.

One dollar nail polish won't wreck your nails if you don't leave it on for a long time. Take it off every two weeks and reapply (thats the time limit the nail salons recommend). Before applying it, you have to apply base coat or a nail hardener so your nails won't get yellow. After the color is on, apply a thin coat of Top Coat to give it the glossy look.

Nail polish does nothing to your nails. The only thing that is bad and will make them brittle is fake nails.

It won't damage your nails, but using nail polish remover will if you use it a lot. If your nails look weird if you pull the nail polish off, just get your nails wet dry them. Problem solved.

nail polish eventually causes nails to turn yellowish in colour if it is a dark polish, let ur nails breathe every now and then and u should be fine, buy some nail protecting polish and apply that 1st.

NO, ive been wearing nail polish for years. but if you think the brand that you are using a not good enough you should switch to a different one

No, I don't think so. I use 1$ nail polishes too, and they work great. They actually make your nails stronger, and they prevent your nails from breaking as much.

If you overuse nail polish (always have polish, never have your nails bare) your nails will turn yellow - this happened to some friends of mine.
