The above question was posted a week ago and I can tell you what that sound is. *SPLAT* The sound of them falling on their face. 3 in a row boy the American league is shaking in fear of the mighty Yankees. As I stated 2 weeks ago see how many games back they are on Aug 30th! I say 7-10 at least. They are making it easy for this to come true. LOL Believe me I have respect for true Yankee fans I just can't stand the bandwagon jumpers!

I wanted to let some answers come in before I added on. Just to let you know I am an Angels fan. But yes I like to do what it seems everyone else likes to do when it comes to their teams. TRASH TALK! I think we all do it at one time or another. But I will usually only do it when it comes to team I truely despise i.e. Yankees! And please don't rebutt with the same old "I'm just jealous because they have all those W.S.'s!" SO! How many of them were you here to witness? LOL And as for the 30th thing this is going to be the toughest part of the 2nd half schedual for the Yanks and if they are so great then they should come through with flying colors but if they are as I think (Overpaid bunch of wanna be's!) they will be 7-10n games out on that date! So mark it down and if I am wrong come back and I will admitt that I am wrong and the Yankees are good OK!

I'm Laughing with you on this Besides RED SOX aren't to press the Panic Button not in August not September not Even in October, Why Because the Yankees should be worried about their Inconsistencies Because they'll miss the Playoffs they rate their Playing Now Losing 2 Games Might Longer for the Yankees their Bullpen and Reliever Mariano Rivera is Really Blowing it for the Yankees Giving Up a 3 Run Homer in the 10th against Baltimore so If anyone Needs to be Concerned its the Yankees, Not the Red Sox.

You know you're good when people are so thrilled when you lose a mere three games in a row. Trust me I'm a die-hard Yankees fan over here, but I'm also a realist. I know this team isn't as bad as it was early in the season, but I also know it's NOT as good as it's been since July (no matter how much I WISH it was true) Is that good enough to make the playoffs? Maybe. This stretch to finish up August includes 8 games against the Tigers, 3 against the Angels, and 3 against the Red Sox. The September schedule is fairly easy, but I feel like this team is either going to sink or swim NOW.
I'm not crowning them as anything right now, but don't count the Yankees out yet just because you don't like them. Their lineup has started to hit and their front office has finally taken a step out of the cave. Look at all the young home grown players that have been contributing. Cano, Cabrera, Wang, Hughes, Ramirez, and Chamberlain. The bench has also been upgraded with the return of Giambi and the pickups of Jose Molina and Wilson Betemit. This team was poorly constructed from day one and while I like the youth movement and small trades they made, it may NOT be enough to make a serious run.
Not all of us (NYY fans) are idiot bandwagoners who are casual I LOVE YOU JETER fans at best. I'm dedicated to this team, but I'm also dedicated to the sport and being realistic. Don't hate.

Hey I'm a Boston fan and even though I am happy with the current situation nothing is over until the East is clinched so lets not go getting all cocky just yet. I am still convinced the Red Sox will win the East but I will not be completely happy until the Sox have clinched it.

The YANK-THESE suck.
Screw the bandwagon jumpers. It pisses me off cuz a lot of people on here e-mail me calling me a Mets Bandwagon jumper. I've been watching the Mets since I was three years old in 1984. I've sat through the Bobby Bonilla/Bret Saberhagen years....the Alomar/Vaughn/Burnitz years. I know whats its like to be a true fan. Screw all the haters.

August 30? the season ends at the end of September, so lets see what the standings look like then. Don't be so HO HUM, you struggle against the Devil Rays and have 5 more series with them.

i dont quite see your point but i think its that some 12 year old yankee fan shot his mouth off last week when they were on the hot streak and now they lose 3 in a row and you are shooting your mouth off in retaliation.
you cant take the bandwagoners seriously. they watch Sportscenter every morning and think they are MLB experts.

The most important thing I've learned in my 40 or so years of watching baseball is that you only have to be in first place at the end of the season. I've also learned that one loss in August usually doesn't end your season, and one win doesn't clinch anything.
