Any 4yr college can be a "pre-med" school. Med schools don't require any particular major. They just have a list of prerequisite courses they require you to take before you apply. However, since med school is so competitive, you have a better chance of getting in if your school is more prestigious. So, just look up the US News rankings and find the most prestigious school.
NYU and Columbia are top school located in New York. Ohio State is actually pretty good. I can't remember the rank, but I have two cousins who got into med school from Rutgers so whatever it's ranked, you can still get in if your grades and MCAT score are high enough.

If you are looking at small schools, take a look at my school, Ohio Welseyan University in Delaware, Ohio. I am not pre-med, but I was when I started college, and the pre-med program was one of the biggest reasons I chose my school. Although I have changed my major, I'm still super happy there though. Check out the pre-health profession website at OWU...

properly i'm examining pre med too at oxford college yet my pal is going to college of Florida. it relatively is a brilliant college and could teach you all there is to be responsive to approximately transforming into a doctor. college of Miami is the 2nd maximum suitable. and that i grow to be thinking approximately going to college Virginia Tech even with the incontrovertible fact that that is no longer that super in spite of the actuality that it continues to be between the main suitable faculties for pre-med. good luck Georgia college of Florida is the main suitable i wish you pass there even with the incontrovertible fact that it is your determination.
