Interesting you say Bill Cartwright. When he came into the NBA from college, he was a decent free throw shooter. Close to 70% as I recall but someone may want to check this for those interested. As he proceeded thru his pro career he got worse and worse. Wonder why some coach along the way couldn't fix his problem.
There was another guy named Dudley a while back. Think his first name was Chris. He was awful too. Remember him taking a 2-shot foul late in one game and launching two consecutive air balls.

There were all these TNT NBA games that I watched and the commentators always showed a chart saying that Ben Wallace has the worst free throw percentage of all time...

Wilt: 51.1%
Shaq: 52.5%

Ben Wallace has the worst career free throw percentage. His effort and attitude at the foul line shows.

A russian guy by the name of Andris Biedrins from the Golden State Warriors...Last year they where saying he is the new "Hack A Beidrins" (even though it doesnt rhyme)... 30.9% avarage....If i dont get best answer you'd have to name a todler with less Free Throw % than that...

anyone remember all the different ugly forms Anthony Mason tried. Boy was that hillarious to watch. But, Big Ben wins percentage wise.
