I ran both the Norton Security and Yahoo Antispywar - both updated and I still get pop ups from Outerinfo. As soon as I launch the IE explorer 6.02 all these pop ups happen.

Well, no matter what anti-spyware you've got, IE (especially versions earlier than 7) is full of security holes that can be exploited.

It might be worth trying Spybot Search & Destroy and/or Ad-Aware and see if those can clean the remnants that Norton & Yahoo missed.

Otherwise, to eliminate the Outerinfo crap completely: either install Firefox and use that going forward, or backup your data and do a complete wipe/reinstall of your OS. Of course you'd still be vulnerable if running IE6 but the current infection would be gone...

Try deleting all cookies and temporary internet files. Then restrict Outerinfo's access by entering it in IEs "Restricted Sites." Click on Tools, Internet Options, Security, Restricted Sites, Sites, "Add this site to the zone," and type "http://*.outerinfo.com" (no quotes), and click Add. Hope this helps. Good luck!...
