I thought the elastic band was because all you had were clip on ties! Can't we just use one of my scarves? This don't come in code is getting me confused.

I hated having a roommate. I've only had 1 and he was the biggest jackass I've ever met!

No, but roommates should discuss the "signals" beforehand and there would be no reason to worry about that. Or try a locking doorknob.
