The only no's you will get to this question will be from completely terrible lying fools who love to be lied to on a regular basis by their politicians. He is not a Republican, he is a Libertarian Republican there is a difference look it up. He is the best candidate of any party for President by far for the simple reason that he actually tells the truth an extreme rarity in this day and age. But the fact remains that he will never become President in his lifetime. He is not the type of man that the ruling group of men would want to do their bidding. He tells the truth too much and to become a President of the United States you must be able to lie through your teeth on a daily basis. The Presidency is never chosen by the people. The ruling group decide who get's the job next, your votes count for nothing, your lives count only as a walking dollar sign, to contribute towards the overall wealth and power of the ruling group. The majority of people are at the bottom of the pile in the dark and that is exactly where they need to be kept in order for their whole system to work. So to cut a long story short Ron Paul has no chance.

YES. I truly do not understand my fellow Americans.
"Speaking the Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act." --- George Orwell
This quote sums up Ron Paul. I really want you people to email me to discuss zakkubin@gmail.com
From what I read here many of you are concerned with what party he is in or isn't in.
Republicans- Understand that the size of your party is shrinking to only the very far right "neo-cons" The Republican party is in effect being hi jacked. Ron Paul is the most conservative candidate and represents the traditional Republican party the best.
Democrats- Just read about him. A big topic for you is that he has always been against the war, patriot act.
Liberals- you will not like this man. Assuming you want gov. to take care of us...
EVERYONE- Ron Paul is fighting for everyday Americans to have more rights.
Balanced Budget
Low Taxes
End/Slow inflation by stopping the act of printing off money we don't have.
Re Consolidate our Armed forces to better defend Country.Invest in R&D.
He also has the track record to prove this.
He has NEVER voted:
to increase taxes
for an unbalanced budget
to raise congressional pay
to restrict gun ownership
to increase power of executive branch
Many of the con traversal topics at hand he wants to be left to the states. As they should be.
You may disagree with a few topics of his but the overall message is amazing. Why pass this chance up. His common sense of "living within our means" is reason enough, we are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Ron Paul will not get the nomination though if he did I would certainly vote for him over any of the Democrat candidates. He is far more qualified than anyone on the left. I agree with him for a significant portion of his views though like Pat Buchanan he is an isolationist and we truely are in a world market. We can't stand alone without being a part of the international stage both economically and militaristically. I would significantly reduce our foreign aid and change a lot of our relationship on the world stage though Ron Paul brings this too far.

I'm a conservative who has always voted Republican. If Ron Paul got the republican nomination, which I don't think is possible, I would simply not vote. I might add that although I've always voted for Republicans, I've done so from the view-point that I'm voting for the lesser evil and have never been too proud of what they do. Ron Paul, however, is a special case - he is an idiot and an imbecile.

Ron Paul is ok in my book. Unfortunately the odds of him gaining the Republican nomination are only slightly better than aliens landing on the White House lawn.

How you get him to the nomination is the $64,000 question. As long as the other top 3 keep shooting themselves in the foot, he's got a chance.
I finally listened to him yesterday. If he got the nod then yes, I would vote for him. He's the closest to rational I've seen on the Republican side.

Given the alternatives:
Hillary, Edwards, Richardson, Kuchinich, Dodd, Gravel, or Obama...If Donald Duck won the Republican nomination I would vote for him.

He'd have to be running against Mike Gravel, Chris Dodd or Bill Richardson for me to vote Republican.
I believe in some of Ron Paul's stance on issues, but not enough to vote for him if he ran against the top 4 Democrats.

I want to explain to those who don't want to vote Ron Paul because he doesn't have the solutions though they agree with the things he says, that you're all missing the point here.
If you're a libertarian, you should understand that the idea is that the government doesn't provide solutions. It's not doing it right now because it's incompetent, but the libertarian idea is not to LET the government provide solutions. A libertarian doesn't expect solutions from the government. That's the whole point of it, less government, less power in the hands of them, we have to find our own solutions.
Maybe you have to listen more carefully to what he says.

Would prefer people like Ron Paul would run as Independents or third party(or fourth party) candidate.
New Jersey pig farmer and tavern owner ran for President in the 50's
excerpt from link
"This is Henry Krajewski. He ran for President of the United States in 1952. Born in Secaucus, N.J., He was the oldest child in his family, literally old enough to be the father of the youngest child. He was a pig farmer. He also owned a Bar called Tammany Hall in Secaucus. "

With printing-press operator Frank Jenkins as his running mate, his platform included a one-year tax moratorium for every taxpayer with an annual income below $6,000, and one free pint of milk a day in school for every child. He won 4,203 votes. In 1956, Krajewski's running mate was Anna Yezo, he got 1,829 votes.
