I can't really add to the great suggestions you've been given so far. Jobs I had at your age included paper routes, lawn mowing, and odd jobs such as house painting and other yard work. I really got a kick out of SaulG21's answer! Shaking down seniors at the local retirement home! LOL! No offense meant, though. I know he didn't mean it that way. The answer just struck my funny bone, that's all :) !

Well, pretty much what you said you don't want to do is the only things suitable for a 13 year old. There is child labor laws and most state you have to be 15/16 years old to obtain a job. Negotiate with your parents and do housework for an allowance. Or maybe if your parents don't mind, mow other people's yards. Good Luck!

Well, the two you listed are about the only options you have at 13. Unless your neighbor owns a business and would pay you under the table. States have different age requirements for legal working. Look them up, I doubt any are under 14 though...most are probably 15+.

You can try going to the local businesses and asking to wash their windows or sweep outside their store. We used to own a business and would give these jobs to younger kids that wanted to work for money.

As a minor you can't hold a regular job until your 16. I'm afraid your stuck doing those odd jobs like babbysitting, paper routes, lawn mowing and such until then.

Recycling. I do not know where you live but collecting and recycling beverage cans and newspapers can be profitable. You can ask your neighbors to start saving their newspapers for you. Make sure you pick them up every couple of weeks though so they are not having to store a big pial of trash.

Doing yard work for people in the neighborhood, walking dogs, or maybe asking your parents or other relatioves if they have chores you could do for them to earn some money.

Well, you could always mow lawns, or do odd jobs or run errands for neighbors. Babysitting does pay well, however.

Have you tried volunteering at a senior citizens home where they might need somebody to run errands for them? But then again, try not to charge them too much because remember, they're on a fixed income too.
