look on the front of the waterpump and you will see that the fan and fan clutch are bolted on there, they are both one piece and come off in one piece.

aight , check this out. Look at the shaft of the fan. you will notice that part of it has 6 flats...thats where a wrench goes. A good size adjustable will do the trick.. I forget what size the hex is, but I want to say its around an 1 1/4 ". The fan loosens in the opposite direction of the engine rotation. What I do is use a prybar and hold the fan hub back at the bolt heads, you'll see what I mean, and use a hammer and tap the adjustable to loosen it. It's not that hard. Good luck.

You can not remove the fan blades till you remove the four bolts or nuts from flange hub directly near the water pump pulley. The comple thermostatic hub and blades come off as a unit You don't need to remove the blades anyway, it'd extra work.

This nut is definitely a opposite thread, regardless of the undeniable fact that, only how its located, there's a particular device necessary. I actual have this device on the save I artwork at, and it in certainty attaches to an air hammer and forces the nut to flow (it is susposed to flow, in my area there's an excellent style of corrosion and rust, it is the sole way), i'm confident in a community the place it is not as lots rust or corrosion you will desire to turn it off with the aid of hand capability, and not that of an air hammer, a hammer wont' supply you with sufficient tension to flow it.
