My heart has been an open book for 14 years until it was stomped on by a very selfish jerk who is also an alcoholic!
Now, I'm guarded so I will be alot more careful not to be with someone like that EVER again.

Pretty well guarded. But not from my best friends. I tell them everything :) And sorry, I have no beef jerky :(

My heart... is a very complicated thing. I know my heart better than anyone would expect, but no one else can tell what my heart desires, and even what it feels. I would say that my heart is like a diary with a lock on it. It only opens for me, and others can't read it. I just have to wait to give someone else the key.

My heart is well gurarded well, but I think I have noticed a few vulnerable areas that weren't there before.

I love others quickly....that can definitely be a curse from time to time. But I am pretty guarded against others....it takes a while to gain that trust and vulnerability from me. So, I guess it comes down to the fact that I have trouble accepting for myself what I so easily give others.
