I don't think it's just starlets. They just happen to be the ones that get the press. Teens are always trying to push the limits. Some more than others. I don't believe it's always that they want to disobey the law but that they are just looking for ways to act out, have fun, follow their peers, or just simply rebel.

What others said about negative publicity is one factor, also you have to remember that many of the stars think that they are above normal people because they have more money, thus better lawyers, etc......and they actually believe that it will never happen to them. If there was a real threat and they lost their money/livelihood and had to work a minimum wage job for the rest of their lives, there would probably be a different action.

Because they were raised in Hollywood and have a low system of values and integrity. On a movie set, a snap of their fingers gets them whatever they want. Having that kind of control as a child doesn't help child stars socialize normally like other adults. I actually pity them and the troubled futures they will face. It can't be easy living your life in front of the world under constant scrutiny.

Probably for the same reason that I do! In MY case, media exposure has NOTHING to do with it... I simply disagree with the presumptuous idea that I should be forced to bow down and obey a set of "Laws" created by mere men, Humans, who ARE, in most cases, inferior to ME in both physical stature AND in intelligence. These cretins formulate frivolous new "Laws" every other day merely to keep their "gravy-train" jobs out of fear that they might have to face having a REAL job, like "Greeter" at Wal-Mart, like most mere mortals. MY own greatest peeve with the buffoons who formulate & control the Judicial System is that they daringly PRESUME to force ME to have to "obey" THEIR laws, laws that I Myself had NO say-so in or feedback with, Laws that I NEVER gave My word nor promised on My Honor to keep. By doing so, Society HAS perpetrated upon ME the grossest form of DISRESPECT! I will always repay personal Disrespect with an even GREATER DISRESPECT. Always. I am appalled to say THIS, as I hate ALL forms of Religion/Higher Powers, BUT... The TEN COMMANDMENTS listed within your Human Bible are ALL the "Laws" you'll ever need to have a fulfilling Life, IF you are Man or Woman enough to do so.

If you're thinking of the starlets I think you are...I don't think they're intentionally setting out to break the law. I think they're addicts and stupid behavior goes hand in hand with drinking/using.

Attention. Could also be the fantasy world they live in (that keeps getting fed by all the "yes men" that surround them) where they think they are above the law.

I think a lot of them are mostly just unintelligent and/or think they wont have to face jail time or punishment because they have a lot of money.

For the publicity. Any press is good press. And with rebellious teens today, they come off as being cool.

Because they are spoiled brats that think they can get away with anything and everyone will watch and adore them for it.
