My Ford thunderbird car won't start. It was working fine and then the next day won't start. We tried to jump it and still won't turn on. When we try to start it it starts doing the normal sound and then kind of squeeks and makes the sound but like slower, like sppining. I don't know how to explain! any ideas???

BTW the car had a oil leak and we replaced the oil every other week.

Sounds like the bendix inside the starter is not kicking out.

This will cause the spinning sound the starter needs to kick out and catch the flywheel to start the engine.
If the bendix goes bad (pretty common) then it will just spin and not kick out.

You need to replace the starter - try tapping it with a hammer lightly - sometimes it will start good enough to get to the parts store, just don't shut it off

it sounds like its trying to lock up on you ,either that or that starter is about burnt up on it,this one you might should have a shop take a look at it,there may be more wrong with it than you think, good luck on it.
