Yeah, I liked his work with Dark Horse Comics from way back. "Hard Boiled" and "Sin City" are both classics IMO. (Yes, I'm female, I love comic books & not horribly disfigured. We exist!)

Do you mean the guy whose graphic novels have been coverted into "Sin City" and "The 300"? As I recall, he first came to prominence during his spectacular run on the Daredevil comic back in the '80s. Fabulous stuff. He basically reinvented the Kingpin and Bullseye and introduced Elektra. His work back then was magnificent compared to most of what was going on in the industry. I was not surprised when he moved on to release "Dark Knight", because his earlier work clearly showed his talent.
I think he's begun to recycle ideas and he's gotten himself stuck in a thematic rut (brutal men acting brutally in explosions of raw hand-to-hand violence), but he's been a major transformative force in comic books, for good or bad.

Yes, I began reading his work with the Daredevil series. Miller *CREATED* that whole "dark hero" trend that happened well into the 1990s with The Dark Knight Returns.
